Softball Earns Easton/NFCA Award With 11th Highest GPA in Division I – University of South Carolina Athletics

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The South Carolina softball team finished the 2024-25 year with the 11th highest GPA in Division I and 18 student-athletes earned All-American Scholar-Athlete honors as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).

The Gamecocks earned the Easton/NFCA Team GPA award with a combined 3.724 GPA, the highest among any Power 4 program.

The 18 Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete sets a program record for Carolina, which was previously 15 and matched twice. South Carolina’s 18 honorees ranked second most among Power 4 programs and tied for the most in the SEC. This marks the 10 consecutive season the Gamecocks have had double-digit honorees.

The award recognizes student-athletes of a NFCA member school with a 3.5 GPA or higher for the 2024-25 academic year.
