Denver Nuggets sign 40% three-point shooter who started 18 games for Dallas Mavericks last season

The Denver Nuggets may have landed an underrated Dallas Mavericks star who the league forgot about.

The Denver Nuggets have had a phenomenal offseason. After a crushing seven-game series against the eventual champions Oklahoma City Thunder, the Nuggets retooled their roster.

Many believe the Nuggets were the big winners of free agency, as they were able to sign Bruce Brown, Jonas Valanciunas, and Tim Hardaway Jr.

Along with these signings, the Nuggets traded Michael Porter Jr. for Cam Johnson, thus adding another excellent 3-and-D wing to their team.

While there were concerns about Jonas Valanciunas leaving for the Euroleague, those issues have been quelled. And it appears the Nuggets didn’t stop there, adding another excellent player to their roster.

Denver Nuggets sign former Dallas Mavericks star Kessler Edwards

The Denver Nuggets signed Kessler Edwards to a contract recently. Edwards last played for the Dallas Mavericks last season.

Despite the turbulent season in Dallas, Edwards did well in his role last season. He averaged 4.8 points per game while shooting 49.6% from the field and 40.7% from beyond the arc.

Edwards didn’t have many opportunities to play big minutes in Dallas last season. In fact, the young forward only started 18 games, despite their injury issues.

Perhaps on the Nuggets, he will be able to play a bigger role on the team. We’ve seen what Nikola Jokic can do for players, helping them improve offensively.

If Edwards can provide solid minutes off the bench behind Brown, Hardaway Jr., and Thomas, he will make the Nuggets a very strong side.

Nikola Jokic set for monster season after dominating in EuroBasket warm-up games

While the signings the Denver Nuggets made this season are quite strong, there is no denying that the success of their team depends on Nikola Jokic.

The three-time MVP is arguably the best player in the NBA. And his form will decide just how far the Nuggets can go next season.

Jokic is currently with the Serbian national team, as they prepare for the upcoming EuroBasket tournament. In his first warm-up game, Jokic was very impressive.

Zeljko Obradovic praised Jokic’s fast thinking on the court, claiming that he is one of the smartest players he has ever seen.

If Jokic is able to lead the Serbian team far into the EuroBasket tournament, expect him to carry the momentum into the NBA season and put up another MVP-level campaign for the Nuggets.
