The full NBA schedule for the 2025-26 season is here, and there are some marquee matchups that fans have already circled on their calendar.

The Milwaukee Bucks have a number of marquee matchups on center stage. However, one player expressed his disgust at their schedule.
Bobby Portis has a major problem with the Milwaukee Bucks’ schedule, ‘Nasty work’
The NBA season is grueling for players. Over 82 games, they face weeks on the road, touring from city to city, and an onslaught of back-to-back nights. The Bucks have road trips over key dates in the holiday season, and Bobby Portis is not happy.
He posted to X, “Just checked the schedule. Boys not home for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Nasty work.”
The Bucks are on the road against the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks over Thanksgiving, and are on a five-game road trip over Christmas. They don’t have a Christmas Day game, but the Bucks take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Boxing Day.
Portis is an integral part of the Bucks’ roster, especially with their revamped lineup heading into 2026. He won the NBA championship in 2021 and is a veteran presence in the locker room.
The Bucks waived Damian Lillard and let Brook Lopez walk, so they could sign Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers. With rumors of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s potential desire to leave the Bucks circulating, the vibes have been weird in Milwaukee.
The mood won’t have improved after the schedule announcement, now the players know they will be away from their families for the two biggest holidays of the year.
Milwaukee Bucks primed for a strong start to the season
Now that the schedule is out, we can begin to build an idea of how the teams’ seasons will play out. Looking at how the Bucks begin the season, they need a hot start.
Milwaukee play the Washington Wizards and the Toronto Raptors in their opening two matchups. Over half of their first 13 games are against non-playoff teams. The other is against the Indiana Pacers without Tyrese Haliburton.
Everyone knows the Eastern Conference is wide open this season. Yet, the Bucks aren’t typically among the discussed contenders to make the NBA Finals. They have the best player in the conference in Antetokounmpo, so surely they have at least an outside chance?
Well, they have an opportunity to turn some heads early in the year. A soft start to the season is exactly what they need in order to build momentum towards a brutal winter stretch, with nine nationally televised games in January.
