Last season, I highlighted Briant Thomas Jr (WR4), Jerry Jeudy (WR12), and Bucky Irving (RB13) as players to target late in fantasy football drafts. Now, I will highlight three late-round fantasy football picks I will target in the NFL drafts this season. Which players will you be targeting in your drafts?
Emeka Egbuka WR48 ADP: New WR1 in Tampa Bay?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers surprised the NFL community by selecting former Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka in the first round of the NFL draft. Egbuka had a historic career at Ohio State, scoring 24 touchdowns and adding 2,868 receiving yards. The college production is elite, but why will it translate to the NFL?
Egbuka has already become a safety blanket to quarterback Baker Mayfield throughout training camp. The connection between the two has grown more than expected, as Chris Godwin is not practicing due to an injury he suffered last season. With Godwin injured, Egbuka has a chance to solidify himself as a slot receiver in the starting lineup in week one.
In previous seasons, the slot role has been fantasy football gold in the Tampa Bay offense. Notably, Godwin was the number two receiver overall for fantasy football before his injury in the slot role. If Egbuka takes over that role, he is an insane value in the 10th round.
Ray Davis WR46 ADP: New RB1 in Town?
Ray Davis took a backseat to James Cook during his rookie season, totaling 442 yards and three scores on the ground for the Buffalo Bills. After a subpar rookie season, why can Davis become a league-winning fantasy football asset in 2025?
Davis’s running mate in the Buffalo backfield, James Cook, is holding in from the Bills’ training camp. For those unfamiliar, holding in means that Cook is attending practice, but is not practicing until he receives a new contract. Cook’s hold in has allowed Davis to get valuable practice reps with the number one offense.
If Cook continues to hold in, Davis will receive more first-team reps. Don’t be surprised if Cook’s relationship with the team is irreparable, and if that happens, Davis becomes a massive value in the 13th round of drafts.
Tyler Warren TE13 ADP: The Next Brock Bowers?
The Indianapolis Colts missed out on Brock Bowers during the 2024 NFL Draft. They didn’t make the same mistake in April, selecting Tyler Warren with the 14th overall pick. Warren had a historic senior season at Penn State, totaling 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns. His breakout years shot him up draft boards come April. Will Warren be able to repeat his production at the NFL level?
The last two seasons, rookie tight ends have been the best late-round targets in fantasy football drafts. Sam LaPorta finished as the top tight end overall in 2023, and Bowers finished number one in 2024. Warren has shown the same potential through the offseason. Warren caught three passes for 40 yards in his first preseason appearance.
Warren’s big frame and athletic ability create mismatch problems for opposing defenses. If Warren can get sufficient quarterback play, there is no reason he shouldn’t be a steal at his current 10th-round draft price.
