LAST TIME OUT
The Gamecocks finished the 2024 season 11-4-7, highlighted by appearances in the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the 12th consecutive year and in the SEC Championship for the third time in six years.
South Carolina returns two All-SEC honorees, Gracie Falla (First Team) and Katie Shea Collins (Second Team, All-Freshman).
Collins scored 13 goals during the 2024 season, including two hat tricks and the second-fastest goal in program history just 34 seconds into the match. She earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors three times during the season, the most a Gamecock has had in a season in program history. Collins also got the nod for SEC Offensive Player of the week for the first week of the season.
Falla started in each of the 21 games she appeared in as a junior, leading the team in minutes and recording two assists from the back line. The anchor of the Gamecocks’ defense, Falla played the full 90 minutes in all but 3 of her appearances.
The Gamecocks will be led by captains Falla and senior goalkeeper Christina Tsaousis.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Thursday’s match is the 12th in program history against the Charleston Cougars. The Gamecocks lead the series overall 8-1-2, and have won the last six consecutive meetings.
