To make matters worse, the 76ers have 16 back-to-back games next season, the most out of any other team. But Nick Nurse tried to quell some of the concerns around his squad.

Nick Nurse spoke to talkSPORT in a recent interview. When talking about how Joel Embiid is looking ahead of the new season, he gave quite a positive update.
Nurse added that he’s received positive updates on Embiid constantly. But as far as the preseason goes, the franchise will be very careful with Embiid and his return to the court.
“All the news is positive. I know he’s working very, very hard, and I think things look good.
“Whether he’s ready for training camp or not, I think there’s maybe a lot more decisions than that to make before we get there. But our main thing is that he’s healthy to play and play to his nearest capabilities.”
With Embiid’s health concerns, it’s best if the Philadelphia 76ers proceed with caution and bring him back only when they know he is fully ready to go.
Philadelphia 76ers have strong foundation for future
The Philadelphia 76ers decided to stay firm this season with their roster. Despite their injury problems, the 76ers want to see the pairing of Embiid and George healthy.
But they must be prepared for what might happen if the pairing fails to stay healthy for yet another season.
If Embiid and George fail to make an impression, the 76ers should consider moving on. They’ve put together a strong young core with Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain, and VJ Edgecombe.
Once the 76ers sort out Quentin Grimes’ future, he can be part of that young core. But this upcoming season is going to be vital to their future.
