Stewart/Harbor Earn Preseason Media All-SEC Team Nods – University of South Carolina Athletics


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior EDGE Dylan Stewart and senior wide receiver Nyck Harbor were both recognized on the 2026 Preseason Media All-SEC Team (voted on by media in attendance at SEC Media Days this week in Tampa) the league office announced on Friday. Stewart was a First Team selection on the defensive line and Harbor was a Third Team pick at wide receiver.

Stewart started 11 games for the Gamecocks in 2025, earning All-SEC honors and honorable mention All-America distinction. He totaled 33 tackles with 4.5 sacks and a team-leading 12.0 tackles for loss. He also had eight QB hurries, two pass breakups and three forced fumbles (T-2nd in the SEC). Stewart was a unanimous Freshman All-American and finalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award in 2024 after notching 23 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks, which ranked third among all FBS freshmen. A Washington, D.C. native, Stewart was tabbed a 2026 First Team Walter Camp Preseason All-American in late June.

Harbor won the Steve Spurrier Most Valuable Player for Offense after putting together the best season of his career in 2025. He started all 11 games, hauling in 30 catches for 618 yards and a team-high six touchdown receptions. His 20.6-yards per reception average last season ranked No. 3 in program history. Harbor hauled in 11 catches of 20 or more yards, five of 47 yards or more that all went for touchdowns. He had touchdown receptions in each of the last five games in 2025.

The Gamecocks were picked 11th in the preseason poll. Georgia was slotted No. 1, receiving 88 first-place votes with Texas ranked No. 2, receiving 57 first-place votes.
