BYU Women’s Rugby brings back D1 public title

PROVO, Utah (ABC4) – Brigham Young University Women’s Rugby brought back home the Division I public title in Houston, Texas on Saturday.

BYU’s Cougars cut down Virginia Tech in a stunning 80 to 7 point win, making them the Spring National Champions.

The Cougars correspondingly won in their last appearance at the titles in 2019, and since the 2020 and 2021 titles were dropped because of COVID-19, they are thought of “in a consistent movement” champions.

2022’s title was held at the AVEVA Stadium in Houston, and the accomplishment got them an undefeated Spring season.

Since meandering down from Division I Elite in 2018, BYU has obtained two public titles.
