“If we talk about roads, bridges and residential buildings, then I believe that almost everything can be restored in two years … if everyone works quickly,” he said.
He also said that almost all components of our transport infrastructure have been damaged in one way or another.
Kubrakov believes that it is possible to reconstruct the infrastructure in two years using frozen Russian assets for financing.
The minister noted that more than 300 bridges on national roads have been destroyed or damaged, more than 8,000 km of roads need to be repaired or restored, and dozens of railway bridges have been blown up. He has now estimated the damage at $100 billion.
